• RDS Spy via serial port/USB: if the serial speed is less than 19200, it is automatically increased, based on single click confirmation
• Generic UECP: group 1A added to default group sequence to allow instant ECC
• Generic UECP: group variant sequence added
• The application creates .bak file when saving app settings
• Extensions: Software RT+ encoder updated
• RT+ item now toggles also if the text expires and next source in the sequence is set as 'no toggle'

Known issues: Audio recorder causes the application crash (Stack overflow) if all these conditions are true:
- executing command recorder.run name:"..." file:"..."
- the recorder name already exists
- the recorder was still recording
- the file name is now different
- fadeout was previously enabled

• Serial/USB connection: automatic communication test performed upon connection event
• Text Campaigns add-on: several bugs fixed
• XML/JSON source: now can read the song duration as well (see extsrc.pdf section Source - Expires after)
• Bug fix: XML/JSON source: %1% to %4% can now be used regardless of their presence in the output template
• TCP Server connection type: user can select whether to log the connect/disconnect events or not
• AppLog folder now contains also audio recorder debug information (if applicable)
• Bug fix: Audio recorder stack overflow resulting in application crash

• New device added: AVT PAD DirectFTP (DAB+) with DL+ support
• FTP upload character escaping bug fixed
• The FTP upload default codepage is now UTF-8 and can be changed in plugins/upload.bat
• External text sources XML/JSON bug fix: the RT+ tag assign now works correctly also if extended characters are contained within the text and case conversion is enabled

Known issues:
External Text Sources: In some cases, the reading interval may be unexpectedly long.

The Magic RDS version 4.2.2 is the final version which allows PIRA32 control within the terms of the "Activated" license. For getting further software updates for this 20-years old RDS encoder model, please purchase the Standard or Full license.

• UECP device model now supports MEC 48: DAB+ Dynamic Label Plus (not sure why so many pluses but that's what they officialy call it)
• Communication decoder now shows DAB+ DL/DLP in full length of 128 bytes
• Due to increasing number of supported device models and purposes of use, the Connection Kind now contains several categories instead of the 'RDS Encoder' only
• External text sources: The source sequencer has been completely rewritten, solving some limitations and bugs
• External text sources: Transition Optimizer function added to Output. User can specify minimum display duration for all texts.
• External text sources: If reading a web file and no explicit coding is specified, the UTF-8 coding is expected instead of ANSI
• Device model 'User Defined 1': prefix and suffix now supports Dynamic Elements (see extsrc.pdf for details)
• Internal channel - Data distribution - saveto: parameter prefix and suffix added, with support of Dynamic Elements (see extsrc.pdf for details). This allows for example saving playlist with date and time added to each line.
• Text Campaigns tool with up to three items is now available also to the 'Activated' license
• Embedded website bug fix: '\' character did not show in forms

Substantial modifications have been made to the External Text Sources. We devoted several weeks to intensive testing but could not cover all individual configurations. Please report any bugs.
