P164 output
« on: September 10, 2024, 08:59:55 pm »
I have a P164 encoder and the RT and DS output stopped all of a sudden.  Nothing changed in the network.  I tried resetting the unit and everything looks good.  But no data is coming out.  Is there a physical fix I can do?  Or is there a known issue?

I had another P164 unit and swapped it out and it's working great. Thanks for any help.

There's no known issue of such kind for the whole 10 years of history. The output circuit is still the same in entire P132 family, no adjustable parts are used, the only mechanical part in the output signal path is the bypass relay.

In terminal, check the parameters RDSGEN and LEVEL. Replace the signal cable and the power supply. Check the INPUT of the transmitter/mpx processor. If nothing helps, we will ship new unit regardless of the warranty period.

Thanks Jan,
My engineer says the testing you suggested didn't fix the issue.  Can we get a new unit?  Do you want me to ship the old one back to you? Thanks.
