Audiovault Flex UDP metadata
« on: September 19, 2023, 10:44:14 pm »
Hi, Audiovault Flex send metadata by UDP, for exemplo: Putty can catch the metada with Telnet connection type + IP + Port.

Can you let me know how can catch this metadata with Magic RDS 4 please?

  • Add a new Connection, kind Bridge, type Internal channel, sendto source:"SourceNameHere"
  • Create a new Virtual port inside this Bridge, type UDP
  • Set up the External Text Source and add it to a new Output

See m4vp.pdf, section 'Redirecting to External Text Sources' for more details.

If you establish a working Connection to the RDS encoder, no more setup is required. By default, each Output in the External Text Sources sends data to all RDS encoders. Tick the Radiotext in the Output.
