UECP RT+ settings for Pira encoders

Haven't been able to get Pira encoders working with UECP RT+ to serial port.   Readbest worked, but no RT+.   How can I get this working with RT+?   I have the full Magic RDS 4 license.  Our Pira models include Pira32, P232, P332 over 2WCom satellite network which uses UECP.

Your question is too general.

First of all, please post a sample of the UECP data from the data source, to verify that RT+ is really there and how it is UECP-encoded.
You may use the Magic RDS 4 to save the data, or just Copy & Paste from the Overview / Data Monitor.

Just found out Device Model Readbest was sending ASCII text, but no RTP=.   Generic UECP sends UECP, but encoders down the line not responding to any RT.  Sending to Site: 0 and Adr: 0.   Also had enabled UECP in all devices.

What you copied is a single Radiotext command. No RT+ included.

What's the source of the UECP data?

UECP is coming from MagicRDS 4 with full license key, and "Edit Connection", "Device Model" set to Generic UECP.  Radio text plus is enabled.

Radio Text Plus was working well for years when "Device Model" was set to Pira32.   It was sending RT1=(text), followed by RTP=(numbers) about one second later.

The only thing changed now is "Device Model" set to Generic UECP.   I'm simply trying to change from RT1= and RTP= to UECP commands.

Our new satellite network requires UECP commands over the satellite serial data ports.   Nothing else is changing.

Thank you for explain. Maybe the solution is simple.

The UECP protocol does not support RT+ directly. Thus, a software RT+ encoder is required which translates the RT+ data to a stream of UECP packets, each containing the RT+ RDS groups.

In Overview / Extensions, enable the RT+ encoder.

There's also another solution, based on XCMD over UECP, but this is not supported by old PIRA32, so it does not apply to this case.
