RDS encoder using with VP-7637A Stereo modulator
« on: December 15, 2016, 10:51:08 am »
Normally I use  VP-7637A to generate RDS signal  for FM signal generate that have only 1 input port, exernal modulation. but after i have a problem with it memory  I can't setup a RDS as  I want.
So I wondering that your RDS encoder can help me with that, because my Stereo modulator has a pilot O/P and RDS input for this reason. It should work with this condition right?

What is the different between MPX  input and SCA input that Whay I'm not sure your device and work.
Sorry I ask some simple questions.I'm new in this field.

PS. My FM singal generator is PANASONIC VP-8193A .

The "RDS input" is a probably a synchronous digital RDS data input on this equipment so it cannot be used for connecting external RDS encoder.

The "SCA input" however can be used well. The difference between MPX and SCA input is usually not interesting if that input is used for RDS. The MPX input has usually guaranteed flatness of frequency response (that input is a higher quality), for SCA input this is not so important.
