Silence Detector with Virtual Cable on Win 11
« on: February 10, 2025, 10:15:58 pm »
Hello, I am running the Silence Detector on Win 11, and wish to have it monitor the output of a Virtual cable. When I open the mixer, I see the option for selecting the output of the Virtual Cable, including the little green indicator with audio jumping up and down. When I select this, and make it the default, I get no meter deflection on the silence sense, and it soon triggers. I can get it to work on a Stereo Mix feed, but I really need it fed by the Virtual Cable, as it also will be feeding a sub audible tone detector. This setup worked correctly on my Win 10 machine. Any thoughts?

I know it's a while ago, but...

I just played with this, and was seeing the same issue. But I set the input to be Virtual cable, then exitted the program, and restarted it again: as if by magic, the audio was now showing!
