it's possible to use Gmail, but it needs to be configured according to the Vaibhav Jain post in this topic https://stackoverflow.com/questions/73365098/how-to-turn-on-less-secure-app-access-on-google.
So 2-factor authentication needs to be enabled and you need to use apppasswords to generate special password for the silence detector.

In the announcement, Google said: "To help keep your account secure, starting May 30, 2022, Google will no longer support the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password."
We will not look for any solution of the Gmail issue. Please use another (trully) free mail service or use SMTP server of your ISP.

You need to configure your gmail account before using it. The option which needs to be enabled is called 'Less secure apps access'. Unfortunately Google automatically disables this option after some time, making this option completely useless.
Google's policy is to force users to use only Google applications associated with your general Google account. You should use another from plenty of SNMP servers for outgoing emails, which is not linked to your internet and social profile.
Consider this reply as a notification that gmail is no longer supported by us.
