In the Source:
Always use the RT+ whenever possible. It is easy with the Magic RDS 4. Stations without RT+ are not perceived well on modern receivers.
We usually set following parameters for the now-playing Source (when it is placed in the Output sequence with other Sources):
Go to next after: 30
Keep in cache: 20
Expires after: 180
This establishes 30-seconds interval for the text, no text change "inside" the interval and text automatically disappears from the sequence after 3 minutes until new song is fired.
In the Source:
- Enable the RT+ and Item Toggle
- Assign the RT+ tag to each XML element, for example Item.Artist to %1% and Item.Title to %2%
