Most likely there's nothing wrong. The way how receivers display different information is not standardized and thus it's only given by the receiver's software and setting.

If using the P164, you can always click on the RDS Spy icon to see the real RDS data, not affected by behaviour of particular receiver.

Using P164, actually have a car now that does RT+ display. My display is switching between the standard Radiotext and to the RT+. Seems like it doesn’t like to stay on the RT+. Since seeing RT+ is new for me, I’m obviously thinking that I have something set up improperly on transmission since it won’t stick to the Rt+. I would guess the RT+ requires an even heavier reliance on signal level than RT standard does, however I’m well within strong signal (pretty much line of sight) and it’s still switching back and forth. Any thoughts or suggestions?

The good news is that I appear to be the only station in the area pushing out RT+, so there’s that.
