Thanks for the info. We are right now working on upgrading the firmware and software, and hopefully it will make everything work.

There must be RT Type option somewhere. There's also an option for the text repeat if the Radiotext is shorter than 32 characters. You may turn it off. Some car receivers have this function as well.

Anyway you should consider update to current versions because your version is about 15 years old and I'm not able to navigate you in the menu.

Thanks for answer.
I disabled "Short radiotext". In our version I cant find an option for
automatic toggle of radiotext1.
The disabling of Short radiotext resulted in text showing two times in the same row. (in for example Honda cars)

This is not a bug. You probably use following combination of options:
Short RT: enabled
RT Type: Fixed to Type A

The Magic RDS 3.1c is very old, maybe your PIRA32 firmware is also old, but there still should be an option for disabling Short RT and for setting RT Type to Automatic toggle (default).

We run Pira32 with MagicRDS 3.1c. We have used it for many years and recently we changed the radiotext feed.
We discovered that some receivers dont clear out old radiotext when updating. (VW Golf car/ Pioneer tuners and others)
They seem to only replace characters, but dont clear out to the end of the old radiotext.

To illustrate this is what happens:
<we send> BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN <reciever shows> BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
<then we send> MADONNA <reciever shows> MADONNAPRINGSTEEN

Is this a bug?
