« on: April 18, 2016, 09:28:26 am »There are several things to consider when using Band I: The second harmonic of anything below 54MHz is in Band II, anything higher and the second harmonic is in the air band! Band I is easy to track - just as easy (if not easier because there's so few transmitters down there) than Band II. It is NOT SECURE! Do Not use it at the studio end!
I use a combination of microwave, UHF and Band I, with a minimum of two midpoints to prevent easy location of the studio. My links are always carefully bandwidth controlled, clean, and use the minimum power that will reliably "make the trip",
