What is the paid license time duration?
The license is life-time and includes all future updates.
Is there another way to pay?
For end users, the paid licence can be purchased only online, using this site. Currently it is possible to pay from your PayPal account or (if you don't have a PayPal account) using your credit/debit card. Other payment methods are not available for buying the license. We will extend the payment options in future.

Can I install the Magic RDS 4 on a PC that does not have internet access?
Yes, you can. The target PC does not need to be online during the operation or installation. One of the advantages of our system is that it can run safely in a separate computer network.
Does the Magic RDS 4 need to be running on the automation PC to enable Title/Artist?
Magic RDS 4 does not necessarily need to run on the automation PC in order to receive Title/Artist information.
It depends on how the automation system provides the metadata:
If the automation software makes the Title/Artist information available over a network connection (for example via TCP/IP, HTTP, a shared Windows network folder, or another network-based protocol), Magic RDS 4 can run on a different PC and retrieve the information remotely over the network.
If the automation software only writes the metadata to a local file that is not accessible from other computers, then Magic RDS 4 would need to run on the same PC, or the file would need to be shared over the network.
If you are unsure which options are available in your environment, your local IT administrator or network technician should be able to help configure the necessary network access between the automation system and Magic RDS 4.
I'm running multiple instances of the Magic RDS 4 on my PC. Is this still covered by a single license?
Yes, the license is tied to the operating system, regardless of how many instances of the application you're running.
For the Standard license, you're not allowed to operate the application on different PC machines (physical or virtual) at the same time. The Full license can be operated on up to 5 PC machines.
I moved all my broadcast software to a new PC. Do I need to buy a new license?
No, you don't need to buy another. The license is life-time. Using your existing User ID, which you received by email upon purchase, you can simply generate new License key online for your new installation.
The old license key remains valid for a certain period of time, to allow smooth transition to the new installation.
I need an invoice for this order. Is that possible?
Purchasers which are registered to EU VAT will receive the invoice automatically within a week after the purchase. In any case we will send the invoice upon request.
I changed my mind about the purchase. Can you cancel the order and refund?
Since you gained access to the paid license instantly after making the payment, we cannot cancel your order. If you found a bug in the application or if some feature is missing, please contact us, this can be probably fixed in a short time.
We strongly recommend to download and evaluate the Magic RDS 4 before buying the paid license. All functions and features are available in the Basic license as well. We will be happy to answer any questions in the Technical Forum.
