shoutcast STL
I have a question.. your software looks like it could be really helpful.
we want to use the Pira.cz silence detector software in a temporary FM broadcast project.
the idea is simply to do STL with shoutcast and let a local mp3 playlist play when interruptions occur until the connection is up again (or after a certain time of playing nicely)
the signal comes from a shoutcast stream, we're receiving it with a an mp3 player in repeat mode.
we use a processing chain which listens to one input device (virtual audio cable)
so the mp3 player output goes to this virtual device only
the first problem was: when a silence is detected the internal mp3 player plays to the same device
so when the streams starts again we cannot detect it and it plays both sources at once resulting in a soundclash.
so we can use a second virtual mixer to mix two virtual inputs to go to one virtual output and use one of the inputs for the shoutcast which is watched while the other is for the fallback mp3s
is there a better or easier way? how to make the local mp3 files stop or pause when the stream is continued and silence stops?
did someone make a step by step guide for STL using shoutcast and playing a local playlist when silence occurs?
