Silence Detector - Wont work

Wont work
I've setup the detector thingy, and i've tried testing it by disconnecting the line in cable but it doesn't activate the task which is send email, open play 1? Disappointed, as there is no useful help guide either.

No problem of this kind has been reported for years. Check the setup again.
