Suggestion for Text Messaging
Is there a way to make this program send a text message? I am attempting to send a text to a Verizon text-enabled phone.

If the operator allows it, there should be an application available for this purpose. It can be launched and controlled from the piraside. The main application will never include this function directly since the method differs with operator (how many operators around the world?) and it's possible to make it by other ways, if the operator allows it.

just send an e-mail from your phone to your isp e-mail bam you got your phone's e-mail address. send the email message to that phone's email
it's automatically goes to your phone...
It's Called Texting -Hint..
tip you verizon cell mail is
(Area Code-Cell Number)@vtext.com
I have this already working.

The application can send email messages so what's the problem?
