Silence detector - monitor output?
Is there a way to configure the detector to monitor the soundcard output ratheer than input?

Yes, if you set the Windows mixer as follows: Options - Properties - set for Recording, on the mixer select input named "Stereo Mixer" or similar, this will redirect the wave output also to the input.
