Silence Detector - Only detecting line inputs

Only detecting line inputs?

Many times my Winamp locked up (i'm streaming to my transmitter). For some reason the streams stop, and i have to restart Winamp. Unfortunatly the silence detector only monitors line in (input audio device (Line in, Mic in etc.)), but all these inputs are silenced because they are unused. Is it possible to check if there is audio output (which is generated by the pc where winamps and the silence detector are running)in stead of only detecting input lines?

Any sound card I have seen allows to monitor the output.

Works ok on another computer (Laptop)....? Any idea?

On my soundcard I can record (monitor) from many sources like CD input, mic, line in, wave out, midi synthesizer etc. Depends on what I select in Mixer recording options. That's standard on any computer I have ever seen. You probably use bad driver or some non-standard settings of sound system that is unknown for me. I have no idea, I'm sorry.
