Hi I have had no luck with the SMTP settings.
I have disabled my firewall completely to test, used the username and password (SSL) provided by my mail provider and outgoing server in 'test.servername.com:portnumber' format. I have both 'Requires Authentication' and 'SSL' checked and a 'To' and 'From'email address filled out.
When I hit test, the setup window freezes for a minute or so (not responding)
I get an error "Error: Connection Closed Gracefully"
The same Outbound SSL SMTP Server settings work for when I want to send from this email account from gmail so I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with my mail provider.
This is on Vista SP2, any help will be appreciated.

Also I get an initial error 'Error: Socket Error #11004' the first time I try a new set of settings, followed by the time out type error above.

Try to fill IP address instead of server name (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port)

These error messages usually indicate DNS problem or port blocking so there's probably nothing to fix in the application.
