will it work over the internet without static IP on either side?

Basically subject says its all. If i have remote customer elsewhere in the world can I using your software to be able to use his remote com port from my notebook somewhere in hotel? Thanks.

These conditions must be met:
1) The server (i.e. the piracom) IP address must be public (unique in internet). It may be placed behind a router but the router must be equipped with NAT feature (port forwarding or virtual server) and must be set properly.
2) The client may be anywhere but must know actual server public IP address.
So the answer is yes, it may work.

Sorry to say that but it means exact opposite. I can't set any conditions to a customer. Therefore the answer is NO.
