WONDERFUL!!

This is just wonderful now!! I just tried it out. The exclusive access is JUST what I needed.

There is just, 1 little thing. I don't want to sound like a whiner or anything but, just consider this situation,

PC1 connects to a serial port and gets exclusive access. Now, PC2 attempts to connect, but does not get any connection.

The hiccup here is that there is no message relayed to PC2 that they did NOT get connected. I know what's really going on, in fact, the program mentions that PC2 is banned and as soon as PC1 disconnects, PC2 gets access.

But, sitting from PC2's point of view, it looks like I connected to the serial port, when in fact, I've been banned. What we need here is some message to appear on PC2's screen that says PC2 is banned. (And if possible, a message to indicate that PC2 gets connected when PC1 disconnects)

It will save some amount of frustration.

Keep up the good work Jan!!

Re: WONDERFUL!!

You are right, I understand. In most situations you should recognize that you are banned accordingly that the remote device is not responding. Showing any message is application dependent, in some case it's not possible. What is your local access application based? It a virtual COM port? If you have any idea how to deliver any message to the terminals, it's welcome ;)
