N/A Text on External Source is not working

Before the update, the N/A Text function worked the way I needed it to. When the document used didn't pull up the specified info, it showed the N/A Text. Now, when the document doesn't show the info, it keeps the same syntax, but has no info in it. (Example: It's set to say "Title by Artist", and when those two fields weren't in the now playing document it would show "Radio Station Slogan", but now it just shows " by " when there's no info in those fields. Help!

If that's not going to work, how do I get the program to not show blank title and artists when I'm in commercials or news?

I'm using Myriad Pro 5 as automation system, please don't give me workarounds like "get a new automation system". That's not a helpful response.

The purpose of N/A Text is different (see the extsrc.pdf for details).

To detect the empty XML fields, you can either use JavaScript or the Text Replacing:
