Remote audio quality monitoring using FM Guard software
« on: March 27, 2013, 11:33:52 am »
Hi,

How can one remotely using the PIRA 175 unit and FM Guard software, listen to the tuned radio stations audio quality on the remote PC?  do you have to use the MP3 recorder facility? does anyone know if this can be done.

The P175 unfortunately does not provide this facility, it cannot be used as an audio streaming FM receiver in order to subjectively evaluate sound quality from remote site. The device can monitor technical parameters only.
It is however possible to connect the P175 headphones output to PC's sound card and use some freeware mp3 streaming software. That way you can verify for example if the broadcast content complies with your program.
