P275 LCD screen carousel- is that possible?
« on: Yesterday at 09:36:48 pm »
My p275 can display a lot of parameters, but since I keep it on a shelf for constant monitoring, I’d like the screens to cycle through automatically. That way I could keep track of everything, and it would look cool, too. I know this can be done using some script in FM Scope, but I don’t want to have a computer connected all the time. Any idea?

Yes, you could, for instance, create your own custom webpage for FM Scope with specific parameters and display it in full-screen mode on your monitor. However, you are asking about something else...

Starting with firmware version 2.2f, the device supports a "Command Sequencer." Originally developed for the P275E+ variant, this feature allows the device to automatically tune into several stations in sequence and monitor their parameters. Your device variant, which includes an LCD display, can also utilize this function.

In FM Scope, go to Device - P275E+ Extra. There you will find the Command Sequencer, where you can enter commands to switch between LCD screens and specify the display duration for each one. I have included an example of such a configuration below. You can find the meaning of the commands in the current documentation. In the example, the setup includes the most important screens, as well as RDS and MPX FFT displays. Each is displayed for 10 seconds. When reaching the end, the sequence repeats. You load this sequence into the device, and it will subsequently execute the commands on its own.

The Command Sequencer only operates when the device is not being manually controlled. If you press any button, the Command Sequencer is temporarily disabled, allowing you to view whatever you need without interruption. In the device menu, under Settings/DIP Switches, you will find an option to enable or permanently disable this automatic switching feature.

You would probably need to update to latest firmware and software versions before trying.
