Hi All,

I am interested to know if Magic3 is compatible with the P164 or can be only used with Magic 4.

You can use the Magic RDS 3 for the P164 control but some nice features of the device are not accessible from this old software (virtual ports, RDS Spy monitoring, up to six program sets, etc.) or can only be configured using the command console (Ethernet setup and fail-safe monitor with watch-dog, dynamic group sequence, etc.).

What reason do you see for using the obsolete Magic RDS 3? Is there something you wish to be implemented in current Magic RDS 4?

Hi Jan,

  It was a general inquiry if it maybe able to use Magic 3.
        Just upgraded to the P164 and noticed only Magic 4 was on specs.
