First public release.

Update from version 3:

Direct update is not possible. The Magic RDS 4 is completely new application.
Please install the version 4 to a new folder
Some settings may be imported to version 4: File - Restore - Magic RDS 3 - ...

Please note the main differences:

The Magic RDS 4 now supports up to 128 connections (RDS encoders) instead of 1. When sending data, it is necessary to specify which connections it should be sent to — whether to all of them or only to selected ones.
The Magic RDS 4 now supports up to 32 outputs in the External Text Sources. For text transmission to work, it is necessary to create at least one Connection, at least one Source, and finally, one Output. The Connection and Sources are then dragged into the Output. The resulting chain looks like this: Source(s) -> Output -> Connections(s).
Some older RDS encoders, such as UECP models or the PIRA32 model, require the purchase of at least the Standard license. While we are happy to continue providing the latest software and support for these devices (which are often over 20 years old) this is not possible without covering the associated costs. We have invested considerable effort into ensuring that the new software enables you to offer all modern features, even on competitive and legacy encoders. This is particularly important for ensuring that listeners have a positive experience of the station when using modern receivers. Anyway, you may continue to use version 3 or the TinyRDS, which are free of charge.
The Magic RDS 4 is free of charge when used with our current RDS encoders. To activate the application and get access to some features, perform a (bidirectional) communication with the original RDS encoder.

Web-server has been implemented (at this time a simple status page only). Enable in Preferences.
In the Terminal, there's a new button which allow to send a file to the encoder which contains ASCII commands (each command on separate line). Useful for example for quick pre-configuration of many encoders.
Recent events show also current date
RDS Spy is no longer launched if cannot operate (on uni-directional connections or on connections below 19200 bps)
Bug fixes: 'Trying speed 1200' on closed serial connection, some buttons were sometimes mixed, Bridges no longer show options valid only for encoders

The External text sources are finally completely redesigned. Further text outputs are now allowed, each with selectable format and destinations. Single instance of the application can now serve several radio stations

Bug fixes: PIRA32 RTP if final Radiotext doesn't match any RT+ template, JSON parser access violation error, JS infinite loop protection and much more

The version 4.1.0 brings the biggest update from the date of origination. Although we spent a lot of time on testing, we strongly recommend to check the External text sources configuration after updating from older versions, to verify that all settings were converted successfully to the new environment. Please report any bugs.

Known issues:
The Text Replacing now applies to Text conditions as well. As the result, the Text conditions may work different way after the update. Please wait for the fix.

Existing logo files should be uploaded again to the encoders to fully comply with the latest IEC 62106 standard release.

Known issues:
This version cannot be used for loading LAN settings to the encoder. The configuration sent to the encoder is corrupted.
If you use this version, please update as soon as possible.

Maximum number of text sources increased from 32 to 64

Default name of a new Source includes a number which now always corresponds to the Source ID (i.e. "Source 3", ID: 3). The same applies to the Output.
Text Output Setup: The Add Selected button unintentionally added also non-source items.
A connection can be added to the Output destinations using drag and drop

Radiotext Plus, Dynamic Label Plus (RT+/DL+):

The behavior of the Item Toggle and Item Running bits has been unified across all models
DL+: added option to send unused elements as a group of zeros or to skip them completely
XML/JSON: the Text Processing Presets sometimes did not work as expected, corrupting the RT+ information
MRDS1322/MicroRDS: the RT+ indicator was displayed even though the RT+ encoder was disabled in Extensions
PIRA32: if RT+ running bit needs to the cleared, the application sends RTPRUN=2 command
PIRA32: RTP= command contained incorrect seventh byte
XCMD capable encoders: the dest parameter is always set to 3 to allow keeping RT+ running bit even if a plain text is being displayed
DAB AVT model sometimes did not send <inactive/> element when the RT+ running bit needed to be turned off
As the RT+ becomes essential, the RT+ software encoder in Extensions is now enabled by default for most encoders which do not support RT+ directly

Network adapter assign: Professional multi-network operation

Many general-purpose applications leave all network selection entirely to the operating system. That approach is convenient, but it may not provide sufficient control for demanding installations. Assign Network Adapter add-on gives Magic RDS 4 explicit control over how individual connections and services access the network. This improves predictability, separation of network traffic and operational reliability — exactly the kind of control expected from professional RDS and broadcast automation software.

We have modified a significant portion of the code related to network operations. Although we have made every effort to test everything thoroughly, it is still possible that we have not covered every real-world scenario. Please report any potential issues to us, and we will resolve them as quickly as possible.

Legacy HTTP client removed

In this version, the implementation of a modern interface for HTTP/HTTPS communication necessitated the removal of the legacy HTTP client. This step had been announced in advance via a notice within the program itself. The simplest replacement is to create a new Connection with the "Hybrid radio" kind and "Simple HTTP" model (see the image). Current solution now supports:

Latest secure https protocols
Selectable GET or POST or combined method
Multiple instances (can feed any number of websites or devices with different data)
XML/JSON elements in separate variables (for example artist and title)
Adjustable distribution delay

Alternatively, use the Connection kind Bridge and appropriate "Internal channel" commands.
Please note that sending text to the website works under all licenses but in the "Basic" and "Activated" license it operates in trial mode.

We continue to maintain the application so that it remains runnable on old versions of Windows, such as XP and Vista. However, some modern network features and secure protocols depend on capabilities provided by the operating system and may be unavailable or limited.
