Title: mac address
Post by: wyosmith on October 30, 2026, 06:00:53 pm
Jan, i have two RDS's.  but you look into configurations, you can only see one rds mac address. i have tried to run the configuration but the other one will not come up, even though it is running but
only the messages but not the songs etc.
can you log into the rds and reset it??? with a password????
or is there a different way to find the unit with the mac address??
thanks

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. You will not necessarily see all the devices in your broadcast network. It depends on whether a device is in the same subnet and whether access to it is restricted to specific services or ports. It also depends on the current configuration, which might not be compatible with your existing network setup. You should also verify that the network cable connected to the device is functional.

The configuration procedure is the same for all devices and is described in detail in the manual: The device features an additional port (usually USB) that you can connect to in order to configure the network parameters according to the instructions. This method always works, you do not need to know the current settings or the password. Simply enter the required settings in Magic RDS 4 under the "Device Setup" / "LAN Settings" and confirm.
