Title: max song title on radio screen
Post by: wyosmith on April 09, 2025, 10:39:55 pm: i'm getting maximum time with the song title etc on the radio, i'm sure i don't have the right setup, hopefully these are the setups that you need to help me out. right the the song shows up twice, once about 5 seconds the second go around about 15 seconds.
so on the
RDS Content - i have two text running
radio text 1
default is 1 minute
radio text 2
looped
setup
enable
enable
radio type bit automatic
:30 second

TEXT SOURCE EDITOR
GO TO 30
KEEP IN CACHE 60
EXPIRES -1

Post by: Jan on April 09, 2025, 10:52:01 pm: The problem of your setup is that the RT1<->RT2 switching inside the encoder is not synchronized with the Magic RDS External text sources. The External text sources tool does not control Radiotext 2. The Radiotext 2 is deprecated feature and should be entirely disabled if the encoder is permanently online.

Use the setup proposed here - it is simple to realize and the result is perfect:

If you add the Text Campaigns and inline RT+ for fixed text messages, you'll bring your RDS to another level.

and how do i go about removing the song during a commercial break, i have notice the song title etc
still up during a "break" what setting should be there.

Radiotext 1 is the one which is filled by the Magic RDS.

Post by: Jan on April 10, 2025, 04:42:12 pm: If the song title remains during the commercial break, focus your attention on the broadcast automation system. If there's no text assigned to the commercial break, the Magic RDS cannot recognize it and keeps the last text until it expires.

Post by: Jan on April 10, 2025, 09:56:14 pm: Keep the RDS2 disabled, there's still no consumer receiver which can utilize it. The Logo feature has no meaning today.
