The firmware version 1.1a does not support software reset. Simply do it manually by turning on the device while the update utility is running.

Hi Jan!

I have bought an old PIRA75 FM Analyzer, which has firmware version 1.1a. I can't use all the features in FM Scope because of that.
The problem that I have is with the firmware update. I've downloaded the fmanup.zip firmware update tool for version 1.5 r2.
The update tool gives the following info:
- Port opened
- Sending reset...
- Waiting for response...
- Sending reset...
- Waiting for response...
The Sending reset... and Waiting for response... are repeating, and nothing happens to the percentage bar.
I've tried updating under Windows 10 and Windows XP, with COM1 and a USB-to-serial adapter, all with no effect.
I also tested the serial cable, but its fine.
The measurements of the FM deviation and modulation power work properly, so do the stereo deviation and RDS deviation counters.
I also can't read out the version from the device in FM Scope, nor can I save DIP switch settings to the EEPROM, it simply doesn't apply the changes I made in FM Scope.

Hope that you can help me updating to a newer version so I can enjoy the full product.

Thanks in advance,
Gabriel
