The encoder supports TMC. However the customer must take into consideration that entire TMC system consists of more layers. The RDS encoder provides the lower part of these layers. For getting the upper part, the customer must find a TMC data provider on the local market. That is, in short, a provider which collects actual traffic data and translates it into RDS groups that can be handled by the RDS encoder.

The data format accepted by the RDS encoder is described in technical manual, section UECP/TMC. Among others, the encoder supports the most typical method which uses UECP protocol, UECP command 30 for TMC data (groups 8A) and UECP command 24 for ODA AID indication (groups 3A). You may use any transport protocol on any port available, incl. local USB, UDP, TCP (encoder as a server) or TCP (encoder as a client).

Jan Good day, I wanted to ask you this:
That way you have to insert the TMC data in P132 RDS encoder for transmission?

thanks
