Another variation of this idea is a  "L or R Fail alarm" to flag a long term loss of one audio channel fault.   As the P175 already sends "stereo audio balance" data to the pc, maybe this possible?  i.e. xx mins of audio where one channel has been >xx db lower in level than the other channel.  Cheers.

ok, understood, thanks.

I was thinking of sites where deviation had been reset during maintenance by third parties using another mod monitors with less accuracy, or as occasionally seems to happen; using the  transmitters inbuilt deviation meter.   In the event the peak modulation became set marginally lower, say 70 kHz, it would be useful to quickly know that had occurred before the engineer left the site.

Keep up the great work!

Similar feature is already implemented as "silence detector" (detecting average deviation, not peak, but average deviation better reflects the listener's perception).
Works on the FM Guard will continue after collecting user response giving a next way.

For example - no peak deviation >65 kHz for 60s.  Useful for communal remote sites to determine a fault or improper processor/link/tx setting.
