Yes, in many cases you can use the Magic RDS 4 as a replacement of the "remote com port program". Simply add a Bridge and create a new Virtual port inside it for accepting the incoming data.

If the data is in another format which is not accepted by the encoder directly, add a new rds encoder model and use either the virtual port or external text source for the data conversion.

Thank you! We are currently sending data as ASCII over IP to the remote com port program and then on to the encoder. I was wanting to use Magic RDS to receive and pass on this data instead, so would I have to use a separate connection as a bridge?

I am trying to get Magic RDS 4 to communicate with the Inovonics 713 but for the life of me I cannot get it to work. What Model should I use for this device? Thanks
