Well.... color me red.  I figured out my problem by reading more of your answers... thanks everyone!

(The solution was to include the port# in the SMTP field - so for us it was outlook.office365.com:587 )

Have a good week!

Good day, and thank you so much for this incredible tool!

Our university is now using the Microsoft online suite for email, etc - and because of this our smtp server is now "outlook.office365.com" whereas our old one was "smtp.wmich.edu"

Unfortunately, when I change the SMTP information to the new server, the email notification no longer works.  I get an timed-out type error when I click on the TEST button.

I spoke with our university's help desk, and they are guessing that it might have something to do with Outlook's requirement of using TLS 1.2.  Does anyone else out there use outlook.office365.com successfully?

Might there be any plans to update Silence Detector to these newer security standards?

Thanks in advance everyone..!
