Unfortunately, I cannot help you more this way as I have never encountered anything like this. If you have any doubts about the functioning of the device, you can always send it to us for verification. If we find that the cause is a hardware defect in the xport module, we will of course replace it for you.

But first, I would restart all network elements, including your PC. Also try another web browser. These are general tips that, regardless of the specific device, sometimes lead to a solution.

Anyway, thank you for all the information you provided. For further steps please contact us via email.

I performed a factory reset on my FM275E, and now when I log in with admin and PASSWORD, I only get a blank page and nothing else loads.

The P275 actually does not work with the Ethernet network layer at all, everything is managed by the Lantronix module.

You have tried various settings for this module, so it might be worth trying to reset it to factory settings now, using the appropriate option on the website. Then set it to operational status, see also the pdf manual. If it still doesn't work, it's pointless to continue to troubleshoot the device settings and you will need to look for the cause directly on your PC.

Based on the information you provided, I can tell that the P275 itself is fine and is not the cause of the issue. The Lantronix modules also very reliable in this regard. You have also ruled out the possible cause in FM Scope.

If you are at a loss, try resetting your network router, which is sometimes surprisingly the cause of these problems.

I’ve tried everything, but I can’t reach the 275 via port 10001.
I scanned the entire network with Advanced Port Scanner, and the 275 (192.168.105.113:10001) does not show up at all.

If you are NOT CONNECTED ("Connecting..." status):

Two reasons come into play here:
  • The connection is occupied by another application. Close that application or find this out by rebooting in the device's web page (button Apply Settings) - this will release the connection. You can then connect from FM Scope and set the inactivity timeout according to the pdf manual to prevent this situation in the future (section 4.1.3 Ethernet options).
  • The device is not accessible on the given port on your network. Unfortunately, this is where our options for further assistance end. You will have to look in the network settings, firewall, or contact your network administrator. Since the device's website on port 80 works, the device itself is fine.

PC Scope wants to connect but doesn’t get any response back. I also tried uploading the firmware, but I always get the same result: it tries to connect, but the FM275e doesn’t respond.

If you are CONNECTED:

There is no need to worry about Ethernet settings or network status, as there is no problem here.

There can be two reasons, and both are discussed in the thread I linked to in previous posts, so I'll just briefly summarize it now:
  • Ethernet module serial port is not configured correctly (115200, 8, None, 1, None). You can check it directly in the web site
  • Your device is one of those that was distributed with a power supply adapter from a defective series. We have tried to email all customers who may be affected, but it is possible that you were not notified. If this is your case, we will send you a new power adapter for free. You can temporarily use any power supply you have with a 5V output.

However, although you state that the FM Scope is connected, I have now noticed that the prinscreen you have attached says "Connecting". In that case, please answer my question again, as it is still not clear.
"Connected" = Connected
"Connecting" = Not connected

So what option is valid?

FM Scope is connected and it sends TX, but it receives no RX back.
See the screenshot.

Thank you for your answer. I will try to repeat my question again, which is key for the next step. Does FM Scope show you "Connected" or "Connecting ..." in the bottom line?

I can’t connect through a web browser and I also can’t connect via FM Scope. We are connecting through a VPN. Everything worked fine until about a week ago, and nothing was changed on our side. The device is a little over one year old and is located at the transmitter site, which is why we access it through the VPN.

This is not the P275E+ but the older P275E.

Although the hardware and software are different, the basic procedures are still similar.

It's a pity that you still don't specify which application you're trying to connect from and what the connection status is ("connected" or "connecting"). That would be a big help in determining the cause. Until then, I am unable to advise you better.

“These are the settings, see the attachment. What do I need to change? Everything was working until a week ago.

Another process or application is using the connection. The site on 192.168.105.113 shows the connection status.

You may set up inactivity timeout to prevent connection occupation by inactive application.

I can still connect to 192.168.105.113, but I no longer get any display from the P275EP on 192.168.105.113:10001.
All settings are still the same and haven’t been changed.
Does anyone know what might be going wrong?
