In the past, I have used a physical cable from speaker out to mic-in on an old laptop to monitor my station's live stream. Since I implemented a remote client and was unable to connect a cable I tried using VB-Audio Cable and it works a treat. I have found it to be totally stable.
I'm not affiliated with the developer. But was waiting for something like Mac's Soundflower on PC for a long time. I always found Jack way too complicated and never actually got it to work (to my immense frustration).
Just sharing in case it helps someone else.
