Hi Folks;
So I've got Pira installed--and am running "tests" to "trigger" the backup files I have selected--Pira WILL detect the 10 seconds of silence (I've set in settings) & will TRIGGER Backup Audio--BUT Audio only plays for :20 seconds then Pira goes into "Recover" mode --NO OTHER AUDIO is playing on the computer with Pira--tried adjusting settings, nothing seems to work--screenshot of settings below

It has been already explained in other thread. Once the backup audio starts playing, the SD detects that sound is present and terminates the alarm condition. This results in the backup audio stops playing. It repeats again and again. You must ensure that the SD will not listen to the backup audio. Using a second sound card is the option, is it clear now? Once more: The SD must not hear the backup audio while it is playing.
If you use the SD's internal mp3 player (consider using of an external player whenever possible), the backup audio plays on the sound card which is set as default in your Windows. That means your normal program must play on the other sound card and only this sound card must be monitored by SD, to avoid that SD will hear the backup audio.

Understood--would the Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface work as a SECOND Soundcard?

Attached is a working scheme. Not the best and not the only one possible, but should work in all systems. On the sound card 2, the SD is recording from Line-in, the Output is a playback mix of Line-in and Wave out.
More reliable method may be passing the normal program directly to listeners, not through another sound card. However this may require external audio mixing console or it may require special features of the sound card driver (for example recording from Wave out). This varies PC to PC, so don't expect more details about this issue. It's up to you.

Thanks for the diagram , Jan--still trying to decipher it because I'm trying to get it to work with the Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface --would the Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface work as a SECOND Soundcard? Soundcard?
