pira rds firmware upgrade
From the same pc i upgrade firmware for analyser without any problem, but with Pira rds process starts and after minute blue progression bar of process on firmware utility 1.4a stops and after 20 minutes same thing, then i stop process, and turn off rds and start again like in instructions. My rds is 2 year old, and original firmware was in it. Now i don't have rds in signal.

During the update process the data are deciphered in the RDS unit and CRC is continuously checked. In case of CRC error the data are not stored to RDS unit and special sequence is sent to PC application to stop the process and inform you. The first PIRA32 unit produced in 2004 can be upgraded to the latest firmware, that's no problem. You should download the utility again to exclude transfer error. If you use USB to RS232 converter, put it into waste and buy some from actual production. There may be also software cause, try on another PC. One way or another, I'm interested in the real cause since it's probably first time I listen about problem with update.
