Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TMC

I used the PIRA75 to analyze our national broadcaster which carries also TMC data. The full file is provided at http://pira.cz/eng/crords.txt
I cut the key groups from it (from first seconds of the stream):

232F 3470 4080 CD46 3A 100011 10000 '@€' 'ÍF'
232F 3470 0646 CD46 3A 100011 10000 '.F' 'ÍF'
232F 8465 89F4 0CFF 8A 100011 00101 '‰ô' '.ÿ'
232F 8465 4140 0000 8A 100011 00101 'A@' '..'
232F 8466 4140 0000 8A 100011 00110 'A@' '..'
232F 8466 C8CE 0809 8A 100011 00110 'ÈÎ' '..'
232F 8467 8ADF 0725 8A 100011 00111 'Šß' '.%'
232F 8467 5144 0600 8A 100011 00111 'QD' '..'
232F 846F 094B 09D7 8A 100011 01111 '.K' '.×'
232F 8474 4352 4F5F 8A 100011 10100 'CR' 'O_'

translated to MagicRDS:

3A 10 40 80 CD 46
3A 10 06 46 CD 46
8A 05 89 F4 0C FF
8A 05 41 40 00 00
8A 06 41 40 00 00
8A 06 C8 CE 08 09
8A 07 8A DF 07 25
8A 07 51 44 06 00
8A 0F 09 4B 09 D7
8A 14 43 52 4F 5F

You must be able to find some minimum combication of these groups to get it working. If not, the problem is not in TMC.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TMC

Imagine that during the searching the radio stops only for a few tenths of second on each station. During this short time it's not possible to guarantee that a TMC message will be always received if the station carries TMC data. In my oppinion it must use some simplier method (for example 3A and 8A presence). Making a conclusion that there are no real TMC messages is possible say after 5-10 seconds of listening or more.
The PIRA75 will never be available as a kit. Get it soldered is less costing than solving problems with everybody who is in reality not able to put it together. There is no place for price reduction.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TMC

On my car radio(Vdo)the TMC "Available" message is also displayed during listening, not only with the scanning function.
When i listen to a station it shows if it is sending TMC.

Ok, wil buy a PIRA75 in the shop

YES IT WORKS

First did some analyses with Esslinger RDS decoder for Windows.

Found a set A3 and A8 messages that worked!!
When i do a scan with my radio mine is in the list!! >>pics will follow<<

For now i am going to sleep....

(p.s. i bought a PIRA75 in your shop)
