Programming MiniRDS

I amin the process of ordering the mini RDS. I want to find ou how do I specify the Program type. And what does the interface look like? Do I just set a parameter?

Download the control software and try it! The RDS encoder is not required to be connected to browse the control software and find how the RDS services settings look like. For the PTY you simply set one from the 32 possibilities specified by the RDS standard, for example Country music, Information etc. Since there are different program type assignment in USA and EU or the rest of the world, the software supports both cases.

What I mean is that I want to use the minirds away from a computer, but the transmission should be permanently set to TA during all transmission times constantly. I am still having problems with ordering the miniRDS

The RDS encoder is designed to work away from a computer. The TA can be permanently set to 1 using the external pin of MRDS192. It should be noted that this usage is out of accord with RDS standard.
