Can not update firmware
« on: December 26, 2017, 08:13:27 pm »
Hello, my name is Gustavo, I am trying to update the latest firmware of the Pira P232 rds, but while it opens the COM port, two messages "Waiting for response ..." and "Sending reset ..." appear and it is never updated .
Now disconnect the serial cable and reset.
When I open the Magic Rds it works perfectly.

Thank you.

The P232 firmware cannot be loaded into older PIRA32 and vice versa. Please check the device type.

Hello, if I express myself badly, I have the Pira32, download the corresponding firmware Rdsup.zip version 1.6a. And those messages appear and do not update.

Please post a photo or order number to identify what device you have.

there goes the photo, I could already solve, reset and initialize from Magic Rds and I could proceed with the firmware update.

It is not necessary to clear the RDS encoder before the update but never mind if you already finished it.  :)

Hello, I have the same problem, but I don`t clean my rds encoder yet. What is the update procedure? Jan, could you describe? Thank you. BTW, I have the same RDS encoder as pictured above.
