Title: Magic RDS and BST (British Summer Time)
Post by: kevinbranigan on March 28, 2018, 08:41:25 am
Hi guys

I hope I'm posting in the right forum here, please tell me if I'm not.

We're using Magic RDS and every time the clocks go back or forward (twice per year), we get emails from people saying their clock radios running an hour early or late when they listen to our station. Seemingly, the radio picks up our RDS signal and takes its time from that.

We then have to Magic RDS and hit Read, Store and Send. Seems that Magic RDS has not auto updated to the new time.

Has anyone else come across this and what would the solution be to make this update automatically every time the clocks change?

Thanks

Kevin

On the encoders without the SNTP feature or SNTP disabled the following box should be checked to keep the time accurate:

Options - Preferences - Local Settings - Time and Date synchronization - Adjust time every hour
