Description
The Setmixer for Windows can perform following
operations on your sound card using command line options:
- Mute/unmute any audio connection such as Wave,
Microphone or CD
- Select a recording input such as Microphone or Line
In
- Control volume of any connection
- Write actual device settings to a file
- Read and apply settings from a file
- Enable/disable advanced features like Microphone

System requirements:
- 16 or 24-bit sound card
- MS Windows 95/98/ME, 2000, XP, 2003 (Vista and Seven
is not supported)
First steps:
- Create a new folder on your harddisk, for example
C:\setmixer
- Download the setmixer.zip file and unzip (copy) the
exe file to the folder created in step 1
- Click on Start - Run... and type command, confirm by
OK
- Type c: and cd \setmixer
- Type setmixer to get list of audio devices (sound
cards) installed in your system
- Type setmixer /? for more information
- Open the Windows volume control (usually using the
speaker icon in tray) to see the effects of any changes
